Roddrick is a graduate of the Hallsville ISD Class of 2005. Roddrick attend school in Hallsville from a kindergarten through the 12th grade. Upon enter Hallsville High School as a freshman in 2001; Roddrick immediately joined the varsity football team becoming a starter on the defensive side of the ball, which allowed him the opportunity to play on the field with his older brother Kendrick Muckelroy. Roddrick’s greatest moment as a Bobcat was a game all Bobcat fans remember. In 2003, at Tyler Rose Stadium, playing Palestine Wildcat’s and Adrian Peterson, Roddrick lead the Bobcat’s to a come from behind victory in one of the most exciting victories in Hallsville recent football history.
Following Roddrick’s carrer as a Hallsville Bobcat, he signed a scholarship to attend college and play football for the Univeristy of Texas Longhorns. Roddrick enjoyed the opportunity to be a member of some of the best football teams and most exciting moments in the history of the University of Texas. Roddrick played football for the Longhorns from 2004-2009. During that stretch, Roddrick started as a Linebacker for three seasons. He was selected a Team Captain for the Longhorns prior to his Senior season. Entering his senior season, Roddrick was selected Pre-season 2nd Team All Big 12 Linebacker. After an outstanding senior season, Roddrick ended his career as a Longhorn last January playing Alabama Crimson Tide in the Orange Bowl for a National Championship.
Upon completion of his senior season as a University of Texas Longhorn, Roddrick was selected by the Cinncinatti Bengals in the NFL draft. Roddrick has just completed his Rookie season as an NFL football player.
