Congratulations to the Hallsville Track & Field team on a great finish to their season.
Five athletes traveled down to Austin for the UIL State Championships.
- Cody Blankenship finished 6th in boys High Jump with a jump of 6’6”
- Heather Ballew finished 4th in girls Pole Vault with a vault of 12’0”
- Barrett Brock finished 3rd in boys Pole Vault with a personal best vault of 15’6” (second best vault in school history)
And our TWO STATE CHAMPIONS are:
- Darby Graff, STATE CHAMPION in girls High Jump, with a jump of 5’8”!
- Marques Hicks, STATE CHAMPION in boys Pole Vault, with a vault of personal best vault of 16’3” (school record)! Marques has now won back-to-back State Championships in 4A boys Pole Vault!!!
- Congratulations to Coach Thomas Holson (pole vault) and Coach Mark Godwin (high jump) on their State Champion athletes!!!
The Boys team finished 12th overall with 17 points.
The Girls team finished 11th overall with 14 points.
