Highland Park and Rockwall advanced to the UIL State Tournament as the Region II 4A first and second place teams, respectively. Cade Storey (J.J. Pearce) advanced to state as the top individual not on a state qualifying team, as did Cyril Cejnar (Nacogdoches) who defeated Michael Upp (Wakeland) in a playoff for the right to advance.
